Chet, I have the feeling that a lot of it is his wife talking. Ever since he's been "assimilated" into her family, his family has been pretty much disowned. My wife's mother has said that on the day they moved their son to Chicago (many years ago), she knew she had just lost a son.

    That all you got?

There's some Dragon Brew behind the counter, you're welcome to it. Normally I'd say that alcohol is not a solution to anything, but it WOULD dumb you down to his level, so it may help. Maybe when he does come over, you can loan him a pair of balls?

I'd pour you a flagon of the Brew, but I can't seem to find my way around right now. I think the contamination suit is in the closet, and the iron tongs are behind the door.

Sorry to hear all that is going on right now during a time of need Andy. I know it sounds cheesy and clich?, but writing letters can be the most healing thing someone can do. Maybe your mommy-in-law, wife and sister-in-law should write the brother a letter letting them know how they feel. At least his wife can't interrupt a letter.

Seriously though, I think the rest of the family should just plan things to fit the majority's schedule and move ahead. He will either get with the program or not, but either way everyone else will know where he's really coming from. Of all times, this is not the time for him to be pulling this kind of "the world revolves around me" stunt. JMO

Hope it smooths out for you.
